Vivian Bennett, Assistant Teacher – 4 to 5 1/2 Year Olds

Hello families and friends, my name is Vivian Bennett and I am majoring in Early Childhood Education to complete my BA. My joy for Early Child Development was recognized by Patty Eshleman and led to my employment with the San Diego Cooperation Preschool as Lisa Fahrnkopf’s Assistant Teacher. Encouraging children to learn and develop through play, investigating and experimentation, communicating and relationship building with peers, teachers, family and community are personal goals I take pride and engross myself in. Through a planned play based program, I aspire create learning and play setting children find interesting and enjoyable.

The opportunity to work with experienced and dedicated staff and the play-based curriculums in this ECE setting will support my development as an educator. Through the mentorship, guidance and aid of Senior Teachers, the connections build with families, and most importantly the relationships built with each child will enhance my abilities. As the 4-1/2-5 year old children engage in activities, their individual and collective development will foster their ability to gain skills and blossom. I love watching young children learn, use their growing knowledge, and become confident in their abilities as they learn.

I look forward to planning play and learning based curriculum in order to provide joyful experiences for the children. Moreover I am eager to meet families and support children’s development and play as they prepare for Kindergarten.

Cheers,

Vivian Bennett
